I'm sure you already know this, but the evidence continues to mount that Government under President Obama continues to expand its role in taking care of all Americans. I love President Bush for his courage in fighting terrorism and keeping us safe, but every day I am more disappointed with his role in opening the door for this march to socialism.
I remembered hearing back in December that Fannie/Freddie would not move forward with any foreclosure/evictions because of the holidays. The extension to Jan 31 has now been extended to the end of February. Every month they avoid dealing with the foreclosure issue is another month for the amount of bad debt to grow larger and larger.
Perhaps they are seeking a way to never deal with the problem. More and more mortgages going unpaid and no evictions. Oh, I see -- we are providing free housing to those in need!!
Now that the Government has seized Fannie/Freddie (last year) there is no longer a responsibility for them to conduct business profitably. They are now a valuable tool for Mr. Geitner.
I have always been a very optimistic person, yet every day I feel like I run out of time for researching to try to be informed about the multitude of issues that cause me great concern. The thought "perfect storm" haunts me.
Save your money - don't spend on anything you don't have to. We are all in for a long hard road.
Thanks for letting me vent!!

You got it Mr. We all better save our money for the depression that will be here sooner then later. I pray I am wrong!
Everyone keeps saying that it sure doesn't "look" like we are headed for a depression. I feel that it's better to be safe than sorry and I agree, if you still can -save, save, save.
